Data practices

All data in this system is government data governed by the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. ch. 13.

• Agendas, packets, minutes and the actions taken are public data and are published here without a login, a paywall, or an account.
• Material classified as not public — closed-session memoranda, attorney-client material, personnel data — is marked with the statute that classifies it, and is withheld from the public packet while the item itself and the action taken remain visible.
• Nothing is deleted on a vendor's schedule. Retention follows the County's own records retention schedule, and the County can export everything it holds, at any time, in open formats, at no charge.
• The data is the County's. That is not a policy statement — it is how the system is built.
